Sabado en la mañana. Martha leyendo el periodico y me menciona esta pelicula, La Science des Rêves. Esta en el Fifth Avenue Cinemas, y dice "sale Gael García Bernal". Entro a imdb.com y veo mas información. El director el Michel Gondry, quien dirigió Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, asi que esta pelicula, por el titulo y director, tiene altas posibilidades de ser bastante surrealista. Good. Hace mucho que no veo una pelicula que me deje pensando.

Sarah no quiere ir el Sabado, asi que el Domingo ella se queda con Tere, Martha y yo vamos a la matine. El cine, ahora que cambiaron los asientos, me recuerda totalmente a Cinemex Altavista.

La pelicula es todo lo que espero : humor, el acento latino de Gaelito, en Francia, pero sobretodo, no queda claro que son los sueños y que es la realidad. Gran parte de la pelicula es confuso si realmente las cosas ocurren o no. Pero no importa. Nos sentamos y lo disfrutamos. Nos reimos. Si reimos de algunas de las bromas, que tal vez no todos entiendan. Lo mejor de todo, nos deja pensando a los dos una vez terminada la pelicula. Recuerdo porque me gusta ir al cine.

Eso si, es un tipo de pelicula al que odias o amas. Si quieres una secuencia clara de acciones, esta no es para ti.

Saturday morning. Martha's reading the newspaper and mentions this movie, La Science des Rêves. It is showing at Fifth Avenue Cinemas, and she says "Gael García Bernal is starring". I go to imdb.com and see more information. Michel Gondry, the director, is the same guy who did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, so this means that this movie, because of the title, main actor and director, has big chances of being quite surreal. Good. It's been a while since I see a movie that actually keeps me thinking.

Sarah does not want to go to see it on Saturday, so on Sunday she stays with Tere and Martha and I go to the matine. The teathre, which has new seating, totally reminds me of Cinemex Altavista.

The movie is everything I am expecting : humour, Gaelito's latin accent, in France, but above everything, it is not clear what are dreams and what is reality. A big part of the movie is quite confusing trying to figure out whether things are really happening or not. But it does not matter. We sit confortably and enjoy. We laugh. We laugh about some of the jokes that maybe not everybody gets. The best of all : both of us keep thinking about the movie after it is over. I remember why I like going to the teathre to watch movies.

That said, this is the kind of movie you love or hate. If you want a clear simple sequence of actions, this one is not for you.
